Whatever Will Be, Will Be 天公疼憨人

When Liu Da Fu (Zhu Hou Ren) receives three lottery tickets, he gives them to his three kids. They are the eldest son, Liu Bi Shan (Chen Han Wei); the second daughter, Liu Bi Zhen (Yvonne Lim); and the youngest son, Liu Bi Rang (Richie Koh). The two older children are very calculating, never willing to let an advantage pass them by. The youngest child, on the other hand, is purer and more naïve.

One of the lottery tickets turns out to be the winning ticket. What should be a stroke of good fortune turns out to be the Liu family’s downfall instead – all because of the human propensity for avarice and self-centredness. The family is turned upside down when a breeze sends it out the window. Dafu recovers the ticket, only to be scammed of his winnings by an online syndicate. Distraught, he loses his mind. His kids realise the error of their ways and regain their humanity.
