Hundreds of thousands of Rohingya migrants flee persecution in Myanmar, only to walk right into the hands of a large human trafficking network operating in Southeast Asia. This series reveals how a transnational human trafficking syndicate has been profiting through a dark web involving kidnapping, extortion, rape and murder. We follow the trail used by the syndicate to smuggle the Rohingyas from Myanmar, through Thailand and finally to Malaysia. This is the story of their journey and the biggest crackdown on human trafficking in Thailand’s history.
