Perfectly Imperfect 活出好命来
Despite successfully modernising and digitalising the underworld, the newly appointed CEO (Jeffrey Xu) struggles to earn the respect of veteran official Pei (Chen Shu Cheng) from the Weavers’ Palace. The Weavers, who determine whether souls are reborn into good or bad lives, wield immense influence and wealth, making Pei one of the most powerful figures in the underworld.
To break Pei’s monopoly over the art of weaving fate, the CEO dispatches Luo Haoliang (James Seah) and Jingjing (He Ying Ying) to infiltrate the Weavers’ Hall undercover. Haoliang, a newly arrived soul, is shocked when he recognises the soul-reaper Xiaowen (Cheryl Chou) — the teacher who sacrificed her life thirty years ago to save his.
Meanwhile, the underworld faces a growing crisis. With fewer human reincarnations due to the rise of pet ownership, the population of lost souls has surged dangerously, threatening to destabilise the underworld’s delicate balance — where even a small deviation from zero degrees Celsius could lead to catastrophe.
To ease the crisis, the CEO proposes reincarnating souls as cats and dogs. Outraged, Pei incites the residents to revolt. In desperation, the CEO turns to a mortal, Yiming (Zhang Ze Tong), to convince the souls to accept their new destinies. Yiming agrees — driven by love for Jingjing, the woman he secretly adored before her death five years ago. Defying the boundary between life and death, their love rekindles in the underworld.
But Pei, furious over losing his power and fortune, launches a brutal retaliation that seals the tragic fates of both couples — proving that even in the afterlife, ambition and desire can tear worlds apart.
