Homerun 跑吧!孩子

Set in Singapore in 1965, Kiat Kun and his younger sister, Seow Fang, grew up in a struggling family determined to make ends meet. While their pregnant mother holds the family together, their father works tirelessly at odd jobs to support them despite mounting debts.
Their hardships deepen when Kiat Kun accidentally loses Seow Fang's only pair of school shoes after taking them for repair. Desperate to recover them, the siblings search everywhere, only to discover that the shoes have been mistaken for discarded rubbish and taken away by a rag-and-bone man.
Faced with the prospect of Seow Fang giving up her education, the children feel defeated until their father's simple act of sacrifice inspires a solution. By sharing a single pair of shoes and taking turns attending classes, the siblings learn the true meaning of resilience, family, and the power of hope in the face of adversity.
