The Leap Years
Li-ann is a hopeless romantic who firmly believes in the existence of soulmates. Convinced that true love is destined, she dismisses every suitor who crosses her path, including her loyal best friend, KS. But on February 29, 1980, while wandering through the vibrant streets of Singapore's Chinatown, she falls head over heels for Jeremy at first sight.
Their magical day together is cut short when Jeremy reveals that he is already engaged, leaving Li-ann devastated. Hoping to ease her heartbreak, Jeremy proposes an unusual pact: they will meet at the same place, at the same time, on every leap day.
Over the next twenty years, their once-in-four-years encounters become the defining moments of their lives. As they navigate missed opportunities, changing circumstances, and the bittersweet realities of love, Li-ann and Jeremy discover that destiny alone is not enough. Sometimes, finding happiness requires more than waiting for fate, it demands the courage to take a leap of faith, and ultimately, a leap of love.
