The Maid 女佣
As the Chinese Seventh Month begins and the gates of hell are said to open, 18-year-old Rosa Dimaano arrives in Singapore to work as a domestic helper for the Teo family. Warmly welcomed by the family's mentally disabled son, Ah Soon, Rosa quickly becomes an important part of their household and the Teos' traditional Teochew opera troupe.
But as the days pass, Rosa is plagued by vivid nightmares and unsettling visions. Strange apparitions appear in the shadows, and an ominous presence seems to follow her wherever she goes. When she learns about Esther, a former maid who worked for the family two years earlier and shared a similar bond with Ah Soon, Rosa begins to uncover disturbing secrets buried within the household.
As supernatural events intensify, Rosa finds herself trapped between the world of the living and the dead, forced to confront a terrifying truth that refuses to remain hidden. Set against the rich traditions and beliefs of Southeast Asia's Hungry Ghost Festival, this chilling horror tale explores grief, guilt, and the restless spirits that linger among us.
