30-year-old Bai Ye (James Seah) is a policeman with no great ambition. A fire took his mother, Ke Mengping’s (Priscelia Chan) life 22 years ago, and Bai Ye was rescued by Ding Zeren (Bryan Wong), who sacrificed himself to save him.

Upon their deaths, Ding Zeren and Ke Mingping were recruited as Netherworld Policeman D and C respectively, and lost all memories of their past lives. The duty of a Netherworld Policeman is to guard the evil spirits, however, Ke Mengping escaped the Netherworld 13 years ago and disappeared, releasing evil spirits to the human world in the chaos.

Netherworld Policeman D is sent to the human world bring them back and runs into Bai Ye, realising that he can possess Bai Ye’s body. With Netherworld Policeman D’s soul in Bai Ye’s body, Bai Ye turns into a courageous policeman and draws praise from his colleagues. The two strike a deal to assist each other in their respective missions, marking the start of a collaboration between the policemen in the Netherworld and the human world. Together, they uncover the truth of the serial suicide cases of well-known musicians, and the aftermath of crimes committed by evil spirits.

However, when Netherworld Policeman C rouses from her deep sleep, she discovers that the fire many years ago was not a mere accident and she vows to get revenge. Can Netherworld Policeman D and Bai Ye stop Netherworld Policeman C?
