No Other Way 至死不渝
Detective Zhou Shuheng (Nick Teo), a brilliant but emotionally detached investigator, is transferred to the CID Major Crimes Unit. On his first day, he is assigned to a shocking murder case: Zhao Minyi has stabbed her husband 62 times, yet refuses to reveal her motive. The mystery catches the attention of prosecutor Zhou Keying (Hong Ling), Shuheng’s adopted sister.
As a string of disturbing crimes rocks the city including the gruesome murder of a celebrity whose remains are found cooked in a hotpot, Shuheng and Keying find themselves drawn into a web of secrets, betrayal, and hidden connections. Meanwhile, renowned lawyer Zhou Hongtao (Guo Liang), Shuheng’s father, becomes entangled with key suspects, exposing dark truths within the family itself.
The arrival of forensic psychiatrist Dr. Susan Su (Yvonne Lim) uncovers long-buried secrets from Keying’s past. She reveals clues linked to Keying’s missing mother, whose disappearance has haunted her for years. As the investigation stretches from Singapore to Seattle, a decades-old mystery resurfaces when her mother’s remains are finally discovered.
While Shuheng struggles with alexithymia, a condition that leaves him unable to understand or express emotions, he begins a journey of self-discovery. As he learns to confront his trauma, he realizes that the woman he truly loves is not the one he is dating, but Keying.
But just as the truth about their feelings emerges, a new murder mirrors the method used in Keying’s mother’s death. Faced with the terrifying possibility that the killer has been hiding in plain sight all along, Shuheng and Keying must uncover the truth before another life is lost.
Can they expose the murderer lurking in the shadows and find the courage to overcome their scars and choose each other?
