Private investigator Gu Chunfa leaves a will upon his death, for his daughter whom he has fallen out with, Gu Yuexin (Paige Chua), and his ex-colleague from the police force, Zhan Hefeng (Desmond Tan), to take over his private investigation agency. They are both also be entitled to a handsome sum of his estate if they run the agency successfully. Hefeng, a security personnel who is also a drinking addict and would take any job for the money, as well as Yuexin, who is heavily in debt from gambling and in the middle of a divorce, take up the challenge reluctantly for the sake of the inheritance.

When they both get electrocuted by a mysterious current while working on a case, they, gain a mysterious superpower each — Yuexin can now see people’s pasts, while Hefeng can see people’s futures. They use their newfound powers to aid their PI investigations.

Meanwhile, Mr. Qiu, head of a mysterious mafia gang, tasks Hanzo (Pierre Png) to steal their powers, drawing the duo into a deadly conspiracy that threatens to tear them apart and get them killed after having braved countless trials.
