Emerald Hill - The Little Nyonya Story, a spin off to the acclaimed drama, The Little Nyonya, is set in feudal times where power is centered around men and hierarchical order is rigid, some women demonstrate remarkable resilience by adapting and breaking out of the confines of their forced domesticity.

The story revolves around Peranakan culture and three young Nyonya ladies of the wealthy Zhang family and their Emerald Hill mansion. Xin Niang is an orphan who is brought into the Zhang family as Li Shuqin’s lost daughter, Anya. Whereas the real Anya was kidnapped as a little girl is sold to the mistress running a house of ill repute, groomed to become a cash cow and subject to terrible abuse. Lastly Anna, who was sent away to be raised by distant relatives but returns back to the Zhang family mansion, she hides a malicious nature with her beauty and commits shocking deeds. 

Tensions lurk beneath the Zhang family’s seeming harmonious facade. What conflicts will arise with these three drastically different “Little Nyonya” living under the same roof?
