Highway To Somewhere 一路惊魂
After fifteen years of marriage, Nick Zhang (Romeo Tan) and Jane Liu (Jeanette Aw) find themselves drifting apart with constant arguments over their busy careers and a rebellious teenage daughter. To save their failing marriage, they decide to follow the advice of their marriage counsellor friend and go on a north-bound road trip to rekindle their love.
Unknownst to them, they are followed by a mysterious man who is handsome but volatile, Y (Nick Teo). Jane's unease turns to dread when she realizes he is not following them by coincidence. Y is someone from her past, a man ten years her junior with whom she once shared a complicated “situationship" with and she fears Nick will discover this truth.
What she doesn’t know is that Nick is hiding secrets of his own and that this terrifying roadtrip will end up testing them physically and mentally.
Meanwhile, along the same route, four young Singaporeans - Coco (Seow Sin Nee), Leilei (Bonnie Loo), Dingding (Herman Keh) and Shasha (Jasmine Sim), set off on a road trip of their own. Calling themselves the “Lost Four,” they are each reeling from personal setbacks: a painful breakup, sudden unemployment, crushing disillusionment, and chronic insomnia. Determined to escape their troubles for one carefree week, they chase laughter and freedom on the open road.
But their escape eventually turns into a nightmare as their friendship begin to unravel as fear and suspicion fractures their unity.
Two road trips. One relentless journey into betrayal, deception, and the lengths people will go to protect their secrets.
