In cosmopolitan Singapore, as in any other modern cities, the pursuit of wealth and material wants have form the basis of life for many city dwellers. And success is measured by the size of your bank account, car and house. But are we truly happy? Host Pornsak will travel to Mt Bromo of Indonesia, Muine of Vietnam, Vang Vieng of Laos to experience life with the locals. He will live with a local family and understand their way of life. He will immerse himself in their culture and engage in their leisure activities, as well as meeting with the family’s friends, neighbours and colleagues. Are their expectations, dreams and hopes any different from the city dwellers’? What is important to them and what form the basis of their happiness? Perhaps through the programme, we will rediscover ourselves and realize the true meaning of happiness.
