Days of Disaster 劫后 “新”生

Days of Disaster charts Singapore’s dramatic transformation from a struggling new nation to a stable first world power. The series will focus on important events that pushed the nation to the brink of collapse – but on hindsight would ultimately prove to be key turning points, with Singapore overcoming these overwhelming odds to turn each disaster into triumph. Each episode will examine a key event or ‘disaster’ – environmental, economic, social and political. In each of these episodes, we will follow the chain of events leading up to the disaster, the minute-by-minute examination of the central crisis, and finally the aftermath. What were the repercussions of the events? How did the disaster change the course of the nation? Did it have repercussions on an international level? What were the lessons learnt by Singapore?
