Meet Me There returns with bigger personalities, higher stakes and even more unforgettable journeys across Singapore.

The docu-reality series follows pairs connected by a shared history — siblings, spouses, friends and collaborators. One person secretly chooses a location that holds special meaning to their relationship and waits there. The other receives a simple invitation: Meet Me There.

Guided only by memory, they have just hours to retrace the moments and places that shaped their lives together. Every search becomes a race through Singapore, revealing not only how well they know each other, but the places that have defined them.

This National Day season, personal stories unfold against the backdrop of Singapore's evolution. From changing neighbourhoods and vanished landmarks to institutions and cultural touchstones, each journey becomes a reflection of how the nation and its people have grown together.

Season 1

Where would you go if you received a note from your spouse, your parent or even your best friend saying only “Meet me there”?

This series is a format developed by Nippon TV. It looks at the emotional attachment people have with places and explores how an individual’s memory of a shared place can differ from those he/she shared it with.

Pairs of individuals with strong ties – married couples, parent and child, siblings, close friends, a mentor & mentee – are cast. Each pair has had milestone events happening at key places. One member of each group is the Sender who leaves the note for the Target. The Target is to then find the Sender based on what they feel is an important location in their relationship.

In the course of the search, we learn more about each pair and the relationship they have built and what the various places mean to them as well as how they may have impacted the community at large. It is an examination of the ties that bind us and the memories that provide the glue that holds people together.
