This series traces the evolution of Singapore’s hawker culture, from its roots and the veteran hawkers whose perseverance have kept it alive, to the ways today’s hawkers are reinventing themselves amid shifting tastes, and finally to the new generation of hawkers and emerging technologies, including automation and robotics, that are reshaping the future of the trade.
