PANI PURI TRAVELS is a wildly chaotic holiday comedy about Thandapani, a proudly stingy “master planner” who wins radio tickets to a Harris Jayaraj concert and decides to organise the perfect budget trip to Penang for his family, only for everything to go spectacularly wrong. The concert gets cancelled, a massive underwater pipe bursts leaving half of Penang with little to no water, and suddenly their holiday fills up with an unbelievable mix of eccentric personalities, a dramatic Tamil teacher wife, a smartphone-obsessed son, a rule-obsessed vegetarian patriarch and his oddly obedient family, plus a bickering married couple trying to save their relationship.

Trapped together for 7 days and 6 nights in a water-stricken island, tempers flare, secrets spill, plans collapse, and the madness grows bigger by the hour. Because when the ultimate budget holiday meets the ultimate group of misfits, survival itself becomes the adventure. But the real question is, who will lose their mind first?
