Jia Qi (Jesseca Liu), a righteous, observant, and conservative ex-cop takes over the business of her sister and brother-in-law’s private investigative firm after their disappearance. Jia Qi is good at everything except she cannot operate the camera well. She bumped into a frivolous and flirtatious photographer, Ren Yi (Christopher Lee), who just lost his job. Running in debts, he decides to take up Jia Qi’s job offer. The two of them hate each other as much as they needed each other. Together they solve cases and business begins to pick up with Ren Yi’s photography expertise and Jia Qi’s analytical skills. Jia Qi continues investigating the disappearance of her sister, brother-in-law and their two sons during an overseas trip 3 years ago. They not only left a huge debt for Jia Qi to clear, they also left behind their youngest daughter, Yi Xin. Out of sympathy, Ren Yi decides to help out with the investigation and finds evidence of foul play. As Jia Qi and Ren Yi start falling for each other, Jia Qi finds a suspicious photo of Ren Yi. She suspects Ren Yi’s coincidental meet up with her in the past and the lead up to him taking up her job offer were all a set up.
