The Gift of Time 你好,再见

Lin Huoyan (Xie Shao Guang), a wealthy entrepreneur, and Lan Shuimiao (Chen Han Wei), a retired factory technician, have been carrying a grudge against each other over an incident involving a lottery ticket a few years ago. They never thought they would run into each other again—until they both get diagnosed with advanced cancer and becoming treatment buddies at the same clinic.

Huoyan is extremely wealthy and enjoys the constant company of beautiful women, but doesn’t have family or close friends. Meanwhile, Shuimiao is poor, but has a wife and a family filled with love. However, both men are united by the reality of their impending mortality. As they witness each other's struggles with the disease, their initial hostilities begin to thaw, giving way to a sense of camaraderie. To close the final chapter on their lives on a good note, they decide to use Huoyan’s wealth and Shuimiao’s knowledge of psychology to help other terminally ill patients in their remaining days.

The act of helping others spurs Huoyan to search for his former girlfriend and love of his life, Wang Zhenya. He finds out that Zhenya passed away some time ago and discovers that the nurse who had been caring for him, Wang Xiatong (Chantalle Ng), is his and Zhenya’s daughter. Xiatong, who witnessed the pain that her mother suffered from Huoyan’s betrayal, hates Huoyan and refuses to reconcile with him. Will Huoyan earn his daughter’s forgiveness and end the final chapter of his life without any lingering regrets?

Meanwhile, Shuimiao finds out that his cancer has spread to his brain and is affecting his memory and other mental functions. He decides to fulfil the dream his wife Xu Qiaomei (Xiang Yun) had as a young woman—to dance the waltz on their wedding anniversary. He plans for celebration, not just for their wedding anniversary, but as his own pre-death farewell to day his goodbyes to close friends and relatives. However, on the day of the event, Shuimiao mysteriously disappears…
