Young Dreams In A New India

This two-part documentary series dives deep into India's journey towards becoming a global superpower, focusing on its greatest asset and biggest challenge: its youth.

In the first episode, we meet young Indians from bustling cities to remote villages, witnessing their struggles and dreams. With over half the population under 25, we explore how unemployment and underemployment threaten to derail India's progress. From job protests to rising startups, we see a generation fighting for its future. Expert insights reveal the high stakes of India's "demographic dividend" – a make-or-break moment for the nation's ambitions.

The second episode tackles the elephant in the room: India's extreme economic inequality. The stark reality is - the top 1% holds nearly a quarter of the national wealth, the highest in a century. But amidst this divide, we discover hope. Innovators are creating jobs in unexpected places, social entrepreneurs are revolutionising education in rural areas and rising tech start-ups are transforming rural medical access. As India stands at this critical juncture, we ask: Can it harness its youthful energy and economic potential to create inclusive growth and emerge as the next global superpower?
